About Electro Avionics
Originally known as Base Electronics the company was founded by George French in 1968 as part of the Base Group.
In 1984, Base Electronics became Electro Avionics, providing test equipment mainly for the avionics industry (hence the name). But our customer base has not been limited to avionics. We have enjoyed a variety of customers and work including producing cable harnesses for the tobacco industry, test equipment for heart defibrillators, door entry keypads for the Police and data cables and associated hardware for the communications industry.
George French retired in 1997 and sold the company to Colin T. Purt, who joined Base Electronics as a trainee in 1971. With the support of a trained and dedicated workforce, Electro Avionics, one of the leading UK subcontract assembly and electronics assembly manufacturers, continues to produce quality equipment to all who need our services.
